How do I relieve swelling in my leg?
Question:
I am a woman 2l years and have recently been diagnosed lymphedema of the right leg. The cause is unknown so far. Please could you give me some advice on what I could do to relieve swelling and help me to live as normally as possible?
Answer:
Lymphedema refers to painless swelling of a limb, caused by the fluid that accumulates due to obstruction of lymphatic vessels draining the site. Let me explain in more detail. The organization has two interconnected circulation systems, cardio-vascular and lymphatic system, forming a complex network from head to foot. The cardiovascular system circulates blood through the arteries of the heart, veins and capillaries. Waste your body are eliminated by the lymphatic system, working in tandem with the veins of the venous system. This also acts on its own to deal with waste carbon dioxide from the cells.
Meanwhile, the lymphatic system drains the other waste, which includes the chemical byproducts of metabolism cell, which end up in the spaces between cells, and any foreign bodies such as bacteria, viruses, fungal spores and chemicals thugs who entered the body through the skin. This waste takes the form of liquid (medically called "interstitial" or "extra" fluid and solids. These are collected in small blood vessels, which then empty the waste in the large veins leading to right heart chambers. From there, they Journey to the lungs to become purified and / or oxygen, before returning to the heart.
So basically, the lymphatic system is like drainage systems that collect waste from kitchens, bathrooms and so on. However, because the walls of lymph vessels are thin, and bacteria any skin cuts or abrasions can easily enter, nature has provided the lymph nodes or glands at various locations on the network. They act as points of control, identification of foreign bodies such as bacteria, cancer cells, chemicals and particles of matter. If they come into contact with these enemies, nodes swell with fluid that contains cells called lymphocytes fighting, designed to destroy foreign matter. The same thing happens when you have an infection: swollen lymph nodes, for example, tonsils, throat, neck, armpits or groin.
If something blocked drains "the lymphatic system, the fluid accumulates and the result is swelling – as in the leg. If some lymph nodes and vessels are removed surgically because they are very common in patients of breast cancer, it causes swelling in the arm. Sometimes parasites block the system Lymphatic the groin area, causing massive swelling in the legs, called elephantiasis because the foot becomes elephant etc..
In my experience, low swelling in the legs is often caused by a partial blockage in the superficial veins due to small clots (rather that large clots as those involved in deep vein thrombosis). Any mechanical pressure on the leg, such as wearing socks with elastic ribbed well above, is sufficient to cause swelling.
These are my suggestions:
* It is essential that you help your liver – the main controller of the coagulation system to function properly. So:
* Avoid the contraceptive pill, long-term antibiotics for acne or other conditions, excess alcohol, fried, rich or oily foods, and cream, butter and cheese.
* Do not smoke.
* Daily Drink fresh carrot juice, celery and cucumber, and three cups of tea daily gokhru reduce overall water retention – Should be both for two months.
* Massage your legs every day, down by the knee calf ankle (to guard against any Upward movement of clots) with a mixture of three parts organic sesame oil (although supermarkets), two pieces of mustard oil pure and part Kalonji (Black cumin) oil. Do this for ten minutes at bedtime for a month. Also, the morning the massage surface th e Domestic legs at the bottom of wells at the ankle bone with Amrutanjan balm. You can find many small nodules along the way, who are small clots in superficial veins stick to the valves. Working carefully, because these nodules are often tender. This will cause an immediate reduction of swelling, if she can come back later. However, subsequent treatments should solve the problem in a month.
